My dreads are past the nape of my neck - YAY!
It's been over two years since I started my dreadlock journey, and I don't feel noways tired. :-) I used the latching method to start them, and I use the Nappylocs tool to maintain them. I got my tool, a small metal closed loop, from Nappy-n-Happy. The owner also sells an assortment of hair care products that smell great. The Suede Conditioner smells good enough to eat! :-P
